Robert Downey Jr.
Since Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I have a been an avid fan of Robert Downey Jr. (yes, the coke head). He reassured his position in my list of top class actors after Zodiac.
Therefore I was kinda thrilled when I first heard that he will be playing Tony Stark in Iron Man, but he sure surprised me when I took a look at this picture for which he is playing a black American in Tropic Thunder. (lol., pic below( from left to right): Jack Black, Robert Downey, Ben Stiller)

One of the other writers on Highbrid Nation wrote about Robert Downy playing a black man. He worries that Al Sharpton might have something to say about it, lol. Honestly as a black person I think it’s kinda cool that movie make-up has gotten to the point where you can make someone look like another race and if the pics I’ve seen of Robert Downy in costume are accurate than they did a really good job! Plus Robert is a very capable actor so I’m sure he wont come across as stereo typical or offensive. I could be wrong though.

I changed the picture. I have to agree thats good make-up. I also read in the Entertainment Weekly article that they screened the movie to some people, including some African Americans. There were positive reviews.
